Alex Gilderman, Pharm. DIn his position as Senior Consultant at Rxperts, Inc., Alex Gilderman, Pharm.D. is responsible for a wide variety of projects including the development of product dossiers and market research related to managed care’s management of key therapeutic classes, specialty injectables and genomic testing. Additionally Dr. Gilderman supports Rxperts’ clients in the day-to-day management of their prescription drug programs and PBM relationships.
Alex brings over twenty years of experience in managed care, holding positions within health plans, pharmacy benefit management companies and the pharmaceutical industry. During that time responsibilities included formulary development, clinical program development and implementation, prior authorization of medication exceptions, oversight of health outcomes activities and pharmaceutical contracting. Prior to joining Rxperts Dr. Gilderman was Pharmacy Director, Molina Healthcare of California where he was responsible for the formulary management, prior authorization and the day-to-day operations of the department. Alex has also held clinical management positions with Prescription Solutions, PacifiCare and FHP.
Prior to his managed care experience, Dr Gilderman was an assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at the University of Southern California for ten years.
Alex earned his Pharm.D. at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. After graduation, Alex completed a residency and fellowship in clinical pharmacy with an emphasis in psychiatric pharmacy practice. He currently resides in Huntington Beach with his wife Georgia. They have two children, Evan and Jennifer.
